Waiheke Island Wine Escape Tour

Go on an adventure to the wineries and vineyards on beautiful Waiheke Island. Just 35 mins from Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf you can sample world class Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Montepulciano, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Chardonnay. Try Rangihoua’s Island Olive Oil and take Lunch at Mudbrick Vineyard or any one of the fabulous restaurants overlooking the stunning Hauraki Gulf and Pacific Ocean.

With one of our vehicles based by the Matiatia ferry terminal on Waiheke Island,  your guide will meet you at the Auckland Downtown Ferry terminal at Pier 2 to escort you to and from the island by Fullers Ferry serice and show you this amazing island paradise just 35 minutes from downtown.

Wine Tasting Fees at three premium wineries are included  – wineries and vineyards we visit can include Kennedy Point, Te Motu, Stonyridge, Goldy, Cable Bay Vineyard, Mudbrick Vineyard  and Jurassic Ridge

Tasting fees at each venue are included in the price however if you decide on the day to opt to upgrade your tasting to a Reserve or Ultra-premium selection if one is available, you can simply pay the supplementary difference over their standard charge.

A one course open menu Lunch at Vino Vino Restaurant is included however venues are subject to availability on any given day and are sometimes closed for private events.

All beverages with lunch are at the indivoiduals own expense

Spend the day on stunning Waiheke Island.  The trip to the island through the beautiful Hauraki Gulf takes around 50 minutes  to one hour aboard a spacious  Fullers  ferry that has bar and refreshment facilities onboard.

Take a scenic tour around to the northern side of the Island taking in Oneroa Beach, Palm Bay picturesque Onetangi Beach.

On the island you will visit and enjoy premium tastings at three vineyards with a choice from Mudbrick Vineyard, Stonyridge, Cable Bay, Obsidian, Tantalus and Te Motu.

Sample award winning Olive Oil from Rangihoua Olive growers. Their oils have made it into the Flos Ole’ Italian guide of the world’s best Olive Oils.

Tour includes Return standard Fullers ferry tickets to Waiheke Island, modern A/C 11 seat minibus, tasting fees at three vineyards and olive oil tasting at Rangihoua Olive growers.  One course lunch. There will be time to browse the shops in Oneroa village before the 4.30pm or 5.00pm ferry sailing back to Auckland.
